Learn how to plan, develop and implement a Privacy Risk Impact Assessment under the new EU GDPR with this Advanced data protection course. Identify and mitigate risks in a proactive way and incorporate privacy by design into your daily operations.

Under the new EU General Data Protection Regulation, organisations will be required to conduct Privacy Risk Impact Assessments, particularly in situations where policies, procedures, programme and project initiatives will involve the collection, use, keeping and disclosure of personal and special categories of data.

Who should attend

This 1-day advanced course will outline how to develop, implement and monitor a Privacy Risk Impact Assessment procedure in your organisation, as well as how to take corrective action if needed.

The course is aimed at individuals responsible for ensuring that their organisation is compliant with data protection and privacy law. This includes IT Managers or Directors, Human Resources Managers, Heads of Compliance, Operations Managers, Risk Managers, etc. The course is particularly relevant for individuals who work in organisations where large quantities of personal data are processed, such as financial institutions, government departments, charities and market research companies.

This course will be concentrating in particular on Article 33 of the new Regulation, concerning the appraisal of the privacy status of an organisation.

Attendees with little data protection knowledge may find it helpful to attend ICS’s 3-Day Data Protection Practitioner Training before attending.
