ICS & BlockW webinar: How technology will transform how we bank

Join us for the latest in our webinar series on how technology will transform how we bank.

Banks have come a long way from the temples of the ancient world, but their basic business practices have not changed.

A bank’s role is to keep a depositor’s money safe. To make money, banks issue credit or loans to people who need it, in return for interest on top of the repayment of the loan.

Whilst their business models may not be that unrecognizable to the past how we interact with our banks has been completely transformed by technology.

We can open accounts without the need to visit a branch, our payments are faster, if not instant and year on year, cash usage declines. Regulators have the unenviable task of guarding the financial systems, whilst allowing innovation to flourish.

We’ll be asking, what does the future of banking and what role does blockchain have to play in enabling seamless digital financial services at the same time as keeping our identity and our money safe.
