Public Sector Network

The Public Sector Network meets the specific needs and interests of IT workers in the public sector. The Network is open to those working in an IT-related role in central government, local government and semi-state organisations. The main aim of the Public Sector Network is to establish an active community of IT professionals and to promote the interests, reputation and contribution of IT departments and IT professionals throughout the Public Sector.

The Public Sector Network provides:

  • opportunities to meet colleagues across the sector
  • a forum to exchange views on topics of common interest
  • professional recognition and representation
  • career planning and development opportunities
  • seminars and briefing on professional and technical developments

 Public Sector IT Conference 2010

The Irish Computer Society and the Institute of Public Administration present the 6th Annual Public Sector IT Conference.  This event will be held on Thursday, 14th October at the IPA premises on Lansdowne Road.

This year’s themes include “Taking advantage of the Social Media opportunity”, and “Surviving the Security, Privacy and Governance challenges”.
This conference is ideal for all IT professionals and managers working in the Public Sector.
