Description

Professor Joe Peppard's CIO Masterclass series continues

It is well established that managing change associated with IT deployments can be difficult. Yet, it is only through achieving this change that the value of the investment is ultimately released. This final Masterclasses on the theme of change will focus on the management of change in large IT implementations.

Three approaches that organizations typically follow will be presented and critiqued. Drawing on research a framework for mapping change trajectories will be presented. Its application will be illustrated by the case study of an insurance company. The importance of managing through “the shakedown” phase of a project will be emphasized.
