Speaker: Nick Forbes, MD BT Solutions

Nick joined BT in Ireland (BTI) in 2006 as Head of Professional Services. He is currently MD of BT Solutions. He has considerable ICT experience having worked in senior roles in both the Corporate and ICT Services industries over the last 25 years.

Prior to joining BT, Nick was Managing Director of Capgemini Ireland where he worked for nine years. He joined the company in 1997 as a Programme Manager, moving into the position of Delivery Director before being appointed as Managing Director. During his time with Capgemini, Nick was responsible for leading a number of large-scale programmes in the supply chain, contact centre, Year 2000 and Euro arenas.

Prior to this Nick worked in the FMCG sector for nine years in a number of European and international roles. The projects and programmes in which he was involved were wide-ranging - from the implementation of financial systems, Enterprise ERP platforms to leading the supply side of the complete re-engineering of a leading global wine and spirits company.

Throughout his career he has maintained a strong interest in the strategic relevance of ICT in the support of delivering Operational Efficiency across the eco-system of the business and its supply chain. Based on the belief that in order to obtain the best value from ICT enabled change, CIO’s should look to creating transformational value rather than just implementing IT projects.
