Description
A look at the non technical requirements of ISO 27001 Communications and Operations section and the clauses concerning exchange of information.
Great consideration is often given to the internal controls in an information security management system, but what controls should be considered to protect information when it has to leave the security perimeter? How do you avoid simply giving away all control over the very information assets that you have worked so hard to protect?
Formerly with BT Ireland, Simon Loughran has 14 years experience in Information Security management and latterly ISO 27001 systems, Simon’s currently holds CISSP, EC Security Analyst / Licensed Pen Tester, Certified Ethical Hacker. Simon holds MoD SC level of security clearance and has experience of working within secure environments covering both private and public sector bodies. Simon is currently an ISO 27001 Auditor for Certification Europe certifying organisations against ISO 27001. Simon is also currently maintaining a centre of excellence for ISO 27001.
