The Network on Innovation

The Irish Computer Society in conjunction with the Centre for Software Engineering www.cse.dcu.ie are pleased to present a new series of talks on the critical and exciting area of Innovation that look at aspects of the Innovative Organisation.

The Centre for Software Engineering (CSE) www.cse.dcu.ie has a track record since 1997 of engagement with technology organisations in the review and planning and development of an innovative capability and innovative products and services.

Innovation is quickly gaining traction with the most-dynamic IT Professionals, with many now investing in programs.  ICS in conjunction with the Centre for Software Engineering are pleased to present a new series of talks on this critical and exciting area. Each will look at aspects of the Innovative Organisation. These events are intended for those who initiate innovation, are responsible for management of innovation, or carry out one of the many roles that help to make a success through innovation. A downturn is when innovation matters most and any CIO who lets this slip is forgetting what their role is.

This network is to bring about understanding of the wider business context of innovation. How it’s enabled, the special role of ICT in supporting innovation, in managing and enhancing the value of intellectual assets. The increasing expectation of a strong ICT contribution to innovation requires new thinking and new structures in ICT.

The first set of breakfast briefings in April through May 2010 will focus on aspects of the Innovative Organisation.
