IT Trainers Network

The IT Trainers Network provides a forum and representative body for IT trainers who have attained the Certified Training Professional (CTP) certificate and those who wish to develop their skills to the CTP standard.

The aims of the IT Trainers Network are to:

  • improve the skills and knowledge of members particularly with respect to new training technologies and techniques
  • promote the value of the CTP as a means of differentiating expert trainers
  • provide information and opportunities for further professional development
  • provide a forum for sourcing employment opportunities
  • enable trainers to support each other in dealing with everyday issues, from funding of local initiatives to adapting training for candidates with special needs
  • lobby for recognition of CTP by government and other relevant bodies
  • research and investigate how delivery of IT training can be improved for the betterment of society and the training profession.

FÁS has officially recognised CTP as one of the recognised training qualifications for inclusion in the FÁS/EI Register of Trainers.

Anyone interested in participating in this group, or who would like further information on CTP should contact ctp@ics.ie
