The IT Architects Network was launched in late 2005. The Network is a special interest group for IT Architects and those with IT Architecture responsibilities.

The objectives of the IT Architects Network are to:

• provide a forum for those with an interest in IT architecture
• promote best practice in the profession
• promote professional certification of IT Architects
• facilitate the local availability of international certifications
• educate IT Architects on the various methodologies including Microsoft and The Open Group's TOGAF
