The ICS and the Irish members of the International Association for Information and Data Quality (IAIDQ) formed the Information Quality Network (IQ Network) in 2005. The Network is a special interest group for IT and business professionals concerned about the quality of their business data.

The objectives of the IQ Network are to:

• highlight the problems associated with poor quality data
• Increase awareness of best practices to deliver sustainable improvements in Information Quality
• educate members on the latest processes and technologies used to combat deficient data
• provide a forum for like-minded individuals
• promote best practice in Information Quality
• support members' efforts in driving improvements in information and data quality management throughout Irish organisations
• develop Information Quality Management as a distinct professional discipline
