Data protection compliance presents ever-greater challenges to organisations in today’s rapidly evolving workplace. The Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003 confer rights on individuals as well as placing responsibilities on persons processing personal data.
Staff must be trained adequately so that their organisations are assured that compliance is continually addressed.
To help Irish-based organisations establish and maintain legally compliant policies and procedures, the Irish Computer Society (ICS) has pioneered the country’s first certified data protection practitioner training programmes: a 1-day introductory course and a 3-day practitioner course. Both courses are offered nationwide and customised training is available subject to demand. |
